OVERVIEW

The old printing software used by the customer could no longer meet modern requirements and became outdated. The customer reached out to Capaciteam’s software developers with a requirement to help them build a new printing application which could be more efficient and capable of handling larger projects and a wider range of media. The new software needed to allow for better document management, faster printing speeds, more accurate estimating, easier reporting etc.

THE CHALLENGE

Because of the complexity of the printing process, multiple business requirements had to be considered in order to understand the scope of the project and to develop the right type of software. 

Firstly, the software had to accurately and efficiently manage the printing process. This included creating a user interface that was easy to use and understand, as well as developing a system that could accurately track the progress of the printing process. 

Secondly, we had to ensure that the software was secure and reliable in order to protect customer data. The system needed to be able to easily integrate with the client’s other software such as accounting and inventory management systems. It also had to be easily maintained and updated with new features and bug fixes.
